Society and Cancer Registration : Towards Harmonization
The 32nd Annual Meeting was held in Yokohama (Japan) from 12 to 14 October 2010, in conjunction with the Japanese Association of Cancer Registries (JACR).
The main theme of the meeting was Society and Cancer Registration: Towards Harmonization.
Attendance was high with 225 participants from 47 countries, mainly from Asia, but also Europe, Africa, North and South America and Oceania were represented. From the 202 abstracts submitted, 40 had been selected for oral presentations and 153 for poster presentations.
The following keynote speakers had been invited: Dr Christopher Wild, (IARC Director), Dr Freddie Bray (IARC), Dr David Forman (IARC), Dr Kazunori Kodama (Japan),Dr Joe Lipscomb (USA), Dr Jean Michel Lutz (NICER), Dr Masashi Mizokami (Japan), Dr You-Lin Qiao (China), Dr Renee Otter (The Netherlands),) and Dr Tomotaka Sobue (Japan).
