PROFESSOR ANTOINE ECHIMANE
It is with a great sadness that we have been informed of the death on Monday 21 June of our friend and colleague, Professor Antoine Echimane, Head of the Cancer Department at the University Hospital of Treichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Antoine has been a precious long-standing IARC collaborator, who greatly contributed to the recognition of cancer as major public health issue in Africa. His role has been instrumental in the implementation of cancer registration in Abidjan, and in the cancer control programme to fight against cancer in his country and all over Africa. He trained generations of students, many of whom became professionals themselves. He was known among the scientific community as a generous and faithful collaborator, who will be missed a lot. On this occasion, We wish to extend our deep condolences and thoughts to his family, relatives and friends.

IACR QUESTIONNAIRE
The IACR Executive Board would greatly appreciate hearing from you regarding how the Association can improve our communications, interactions, and meaningful support to the cancer registry community worldwide. We have put together some questions that we ask the Membership to respond to online. There are only five questions on five screens (pages 2-6), and hopefully it will only take a few minutes of your time to provide us with valuable feedback. Please do use the "COMMENTS Box" to provide more specific information.

We would like your response by
15 July 2010. We aim to use your collective information to ensure better dialogue between the IACR leadership and Members. We will present the results and feedback on the occasion of the Business Meeting at the IACR Annual Meeting in Yokohama, Japan on 14 October 2010.

With many thanks, on behalf of the IACR Executive Board
