Yasmin Bhurgri
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Yasmin Bhurgri on 24 January 2012, at the age of 58 at her home in Karachi. Yasmin was an extremely dedicated and passionate Director of the Karachi Cancer Registry and a great supporter of IACR and IARC. She will be greatly missed in the cancer research community. Obituary.
Elections 2012 - Call for nominations
The term of office for the President and regional representatives from Europe, Africa, Asia and North America will end on the eve of the next Executive Board meeting (15 September 2012). A nominating committee was appointed by the Executive Board and has identified candidates for these positions. All voting members are now invited to propose other candidates for President and members for the appropriate regions. Details on the candidates and the election process can be found here.
The call for nomination will end on 29 March 2012.
